EVERYONE PLAYS THEIR PART.

Fraport AG is the operator of Europe’s third-largest airport, handling 57.5 million passengers, around half a million flight movements, and two million tons of cargo in 2012. Faced with this huge logistical challenge, sustainability is essential. That is why the steps toward “green handling” are an important element for achieving an emission-optimized airport. The first electrical vehicles already started operating some years ago. The electrically-powered fleet at Fraport AG has meanwhile grown to around 300 vehicles.

“Green handling” takes the potential for further electrification to a completely new level. Fraport AG continually puts new e-vehicles for varying purposes into operation, replacing vehicles with combustion engines. These e-vehicles fit seamlessly into the handling workflows at the airport.
