is coordinating and overseeing ten projects with a total volume of over 30 million euros on which the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI)is currently promoting. Since 2009, on behalf of the BMVI, the Model Region’s regional project office has implemented extensive demonstration schemes with the result that around 500 electric vehicles and 260 charging stations are now in operation.
Since 2011 the focus of the Rhine-Main Model Region has been on fleet solutions and technology projects at Frankfurt Airport. “Green handling – E-PORT AN” at Frankfurt Airport and the “Electromobility Alliance” are currently the Rhine-Main Model Region’s main project consortia.
